Readojo is a daily reading practice app for adults learning English. This page explains what the app collects, why, and what happens to it.
Account. You can use Readojo as a guest with no personal details at all. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifier your provider gives us and, if you allow it, your name and email address. We use these only to recognise your account and to reach you about it.
Reading activity. Which passages you read, your answers to the questions, your scores, your level and your streak. This is the product: it is how the app shows your progress.
Purchases. If you subscribe, Apple handles payment. We receive a record of your subscription status from Apple through RevenueCat so the app can unlock what you paid for. We never see your card details.
Device and diagnostics. Apple may share crash reports and basic usage statistics with us if you have allowed that in your device settings.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers, and we do not show ads.
Two questions per passage ask you to write a few sentences. To mark them, the text of your answer and the passage are sent to Anthropic, an AI provider, which returns a score and feedback. Your name and email are not included in that request. Anthropic processes the text to provide the review and does not use it to train its models under the terms we have with them.
Account and reading data are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, and the app talks to a server hosted by Render. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. Subscription status is handled by RevenueCat. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy commitments.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for anything other than running Readojo and improving it.
Open the app, go to Me and tap "Delete account". Your account and all associated reading data are permanently deleted. You can also email us at the address below and we will do it for you. Guest accounts that are never signed in are tied to the device and go away with the app.
Readojo is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and note the change in the app.
